University of Vic (UVIC)

After twenty years of close collaboration between private and public bodies, the Estudis Universitaris de Vic have brought university life back to the city with such degree of social acceptance, growth, academic quality and a regional consolidation that it is now possible and justifiable that the Parliament of Catalonia gives formal recognition to the University of Vic.

On 21 May 1997, the Parliament of Catalonia approved recognition of the University of Vic, marking the culmination of the Estudis Universitaris de Vic project.

Over the years, the University has expanded in scope and has set up a federated structure to join forces and become a force for regional knowledge and innovation, with a clear international vocation. This is the structure of the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC), made up of four federated entities, with campuses in Vic, Manresa and Barcelona, and further premises in Granollers.

UVic-UCC organizes activities in teaching, research and knowledge transfer, and seeks to imbue students with the values of individual creativity, professional rigor and social commitment.

University of Vic – Central de Catalunya (UVic-UCC) offers a broad range of disciplines in the fields of science, engineering, health, social sciences, arts and humanities. Their degree courses embrace innovative methodologies, personalized learning and a practical approach that will ease your transition into the working world.

Master’s degrees (or university master's degrees) are official second-cycle university courses. They offer advanced training oriented towards academic or professional specialization and an introduction to research tasks. Master's degrees are 60- to 120-credit courses lasting one or two academic years and lead to third-cycle courses, doctorates.
