The name itself tells the story and explains everything - BACHcelona. This exceptional festival will showcase a lineup of world-renowned artists who excel in the art of performing Bach's music.
Bachcelona is an exceptional festival known for its unwavering dedication to excellence. Throughout its history, it has welcomed famous international artists who specialize in Bach. Including renowned figures like Klaus Mertens, John Crockatt, and Philippe Thuriot (2016), Stephan Macleod, Leila Schayegh, and Bertrand Cuiller (2017), Shunske Sato, Michel Brun, and Clara Pouvreau (2018), and Václav Luks, Sabine Bauer, and Petra Müllejans (2019), and many others.

One of the festival's distinguishing features is its commitment to innovation. Within the framework of Bachcelona, they go beyond the traditional concert format in all their activities. They actively encourage artistic collaborations with other disciplines, such as theater (highlighting the successful inclusion of La Fura dels Baus in the 2016 event), contemporary dance (with the participation of Lorena Nogal in 2017), cinema (through their annual film cycle held at Barcelona's film archive, the Filmoteca, since 2015), and visual arts (including the exhibition of Eduardo Chillida's complete set of prints titled “Hommage à Johann Sebastian Bach'' in 2014).

Furthermore, Bachcelona presents captivating musical fusions with other genres: jazz (featuring Llibert Fortuny, Manel Camp, and Mireia Farrés in 2013), African percussion (with performances by Virginie Robilliard and Thomas Gueï in 2016), Cuban music (including the Roberto Fonseca Trio and their captivating “Cubach” concert in 2017), and the Brazilian tradition (showcasing the Sambach project in 2019).
