More marriages but less real estate transactions

According to the Notarial Association of Spain, in the first quarter of 2023, the number of marriages increased by 43% compared to the same period in 2022. Which is unusual, since the number has been decreasing in recent years. Though, the number of divorces also increased by 7%. In general, Spanish people do not rush to get married, especially men. According to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE), in 2020, there were a total of 162,131 marriages registered in Spain. The population of Spain is around 47 million (according to 2021 data). The average age at first marriage is 34.7 years for men and 32.2 years for women.Spanish-speaking countries are the most “hardworking” in the world. But it's not about Spain. Mexico, Colombia, and Costa Rica are the top countries with the highest number of working hours per year. On average, a Mexican spends around 2,130 hours per year at their workplace. While in Colombia it's 2,070 hours per year, and in Costa Rica – 1,960 hours per year. Spain's average is 1,640 working hours per year. The countries with the fewest working hours are the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Denmark, and Germany. More and more European companies are transitioning to a 4-day workweek to increase productivity and provide better work-life balance for their employees.
