30 years ago, the Arnau family had one of their dreams. After discovering all the great raves in England and Central Europe, our parents, after finishing one of those unforgettable sessions at Club Florida 135 with the great heroes of techno, visited the family estate in the middle of the Monegros desert.
It was dawn, and stars still shone in the sky. Right there, sitting on a straw bale in the middle of the “threshing floor”, our parents decided to turn that space into a large dance floor. It was a crazy idea if we transported ourselves back to 1992. While most young people outside our borders had their own illegal raves, we, the Arnau family and our clients, would also have our own. What started back then as a simple gathering of music-loving friends gradually became a reference in the international electronic music scene.
We absorbed the best of that movement that timidly made its way into most clubs and the most underground raves throughout Europe. But we also created a new concept of fun, “La Ravervena”: a mixture of music, dance, entertainment, party, and family.
Last year, this dream came true once again. Monegros was celebrated in the land where it was born, reaching record numbers. Over 120 artists, 11 stages, and 2,000 workers elevated the meeting in Fraga to a unique experience beyond just music. Monegros Desert Festival returned, sold out, with a production never seen before in our country. Twenty-two hours of music spread across eleven themed stages.
This year, precisely on July 29th, Monegros Desert Festival returns to celebrate, no less, its thirty years of existence. A thirtieth anniversary that promises to be unforgettable once again and guarantees to preserve the R.A.V.E concept, adding new stages, technological and creative innovations, as well as operational improvements compared to 2022. It will be an extraordinary audiovisual and sound machinery.
