Events
Date: July 4-6
Location: Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona

Comical musical by Les Luthiers. The humorists musical group Les Luthiers bids farewell to the stage forever with ‘Más Tropiezos De Mastropiero,’ a show that has just premiered with great success in Argentina and will be part of their farewell tour in Spain.

‘Más Tropiezos De Mastropiero’ is the group's first new show (non-anthological) in 15 years, serving as the culmination of Les Luthiers' extensive history while also paying tribute to the illustrious composer's career. Through its narrative design and the contributions of the 2019 ensemble, the show represents a synthesis of tradition and modernity.

The show revolves around a supposed cultured, insightful, documented, and illustrated interview with the mythical creator of Les Luthiers' works, Johann Sebastian Mastropiero. Throughout the interview, a significant portion of the composer's life is reminisced, from his early failures to the most recent ones, accompanied by fitting musical and theatrical examples.

In addition to the familiar elements, there will be new informal instruments, numerous new songs, scenes, and a selection of traditional repertoire.

‘Más Tropiezos De Mastropiero’ will bring a bouquet of novelties, laughter, and uproarious moments for Les Luthiers' humor enthusiasts, all enhanced by their renowned musical quality. The performance will remain true to the ensemble's classic style, where intelligence, culture, refinement, and elegance serve as platforms to deliver quality entertainment to audiences of all ages.

The authors of ‘Más Tropiezos De Mastropiero’ are two of the “historic” members of the group, Carlos López Puccio and Jorge Maronna. Alongside them, the 2019 ensemble of Les Luthiers includes Roberto Antier, Tomás Mayer-Wolf, Martín O'Connor, and Horacio Tato Turano, with Santiago Otero Ramos and Pablo Rabinovich performing as alternates.
