How long will the heatwave last?

Expat news
Spain, along with other European nations, is expected to endure an extended period of scorching heat as global temperatures reach alarming heights, potentially breaking records, as reported by The Independent.

A second anticyclone named "Charon," named after the mythical Greek ferryman of the dead, has moved from North Africa into the Mediterranean area and may soon cause temperatures to rise significantly above 45 degrees Celsius in certain parts of Italy, Spain, and Greece.

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) has predicted that the heatwave will intensify and persist in the following week. Furthermore, the WMO anticipates that the hot weather in the Mediterranean region and the Balkans could extend into the next month. However, the organization is uncertain about the intensity and duration of the heatwave, including whether it will continue until the end of August.
