The Municipal School of Music Sant Andreu began its activity in 1993. It is located on the first and sixth floors of the Josep Pallach building, in the heart of the San Andrés neighborhood since its foundation. Thirty teachers are responsible for the education of over 500 students.

Pedagogical and Cultural Objectives of the school:
- To provide basic musical learning tools to develop in students the necessary autonomy to make music at an amateur level, enhancing instrumental and vocal groups. Furthermore, to create a common project for the entire center that integrates the three basic axes: groups, instruments, and musical language, in a transversal and integrated manner to help students in their formative process, understanding the teaching of all areas as a whole that gives meaning to learning.
- To guide and facilitate the preparation for access to professional studies, for students with a special interest and dedication.
- To promote musical groups that connect the music school with the social environment of the San Andrés district, as well as exchanges and encounters to project it externally.
- To begin instrumental learning in groups using ternary group pedagogy.
