Born Street Food is the foodie party with 18 top restaurants, gastronomic novelties and local DJs at street level, in Pla de Palau Square. Some of the city’s best chefs will cook for you. Joan Bagur, standard-bearer of the best Mexican cuisine in Barcelona at Oaxaca Cuina Mexicana, the international Viñaspre brothers and their legendary Sagardi Basque grill – who have just attended the Meatopia festival in London, an international benchmark for fire cooking, and Dani Rueda with his creative tapas at Tapeo Born. Eva Vila, the great expert in cheeses from La Teca de Vila Viniteca and the wine pairing specialist Quim Vila.
The rice dishes, cooked over orange wood from Restaurant Cadaqués, the well-known Japanese tavern Ikoya Izakaya, which will delight us with its robata, Japanese grill. As representatives of the Argentinean grill, Claudio and Yoel Vainberg from El Foro Restaurante, the traditional Barra del 7 Portes with new proposals, and the magnificent Marc Villà's pasta from Bronzo Bar e Cuina. One of the great novelties this time is Jon Cake, with his famous artisan cheesecake from Jon García. Furthermore, Llamber restaurant, with the best of the Asturian and Catalan cuisine.
Three days to enjoy the best show cooking with seasonal products, cooked on the street, by the chefs of Barcelona Born Gourmet. Grills, casseroles, fresh products and plenty of delicious activities are featured in this huge gastronomic celebration of the Born. A must for those who want to enjoy a festive and, of course, gourmet city once again. Born Street Food will be held on Friday and Saturday from noon to midnight and on Sunday until 10 pm.
And, as always, the showcookings will be accompanied by music throughout the day by different local DJs. You can’t miss out on Barcelona’s most gastronomic plan. Admission should not be reserved in advance, it is free, but a minimum consumption of 3 tickets will be required.
