Barcelona to host ICE, the world's largest gaming tech event

City News
Barcelona has been selected to host ICE, the world's premier game technology event, starting from 2025 until at least 2029, as reported by CatalanNews. The trade show's move to Barcelona comes after 12 successful years in London and was chosen over other shortlisted cities, including Paris and Madrid.

The decision was announced in a press release by event organizer Clarion Gaming, which also revealed plans to host the IGB Affiliate digital marketing trade show in Barcelona.

Barcelona's outstanding offer includes top-notch facilities, excellent hotel infrastructure, seamless logistics, remarkable return on investment for our customers, and the ability to accommodate growth, stated Alex Pratt, CEO of Clarion Gaming.

The inaugural ICE event in Barcelona is scheduled for January 20 to 22, 2025, taking place at Fira Gran Via, the same venue as the Mobile World Congress. The timing will make ICE the exclusive major event in January, providing exhibitors and attendees with a unique city experience, according to Clarion Gaming.

The positive economic impact of the event is already evident, with approximately 40,000 hotel reservations made for attendees, further boosting Barcelona's economy.
