Barcelona is once again providing a dedicated dog beach this year, situated at the northern end of Llevant beach. The beach now spans an expanded area of 1,500 square meters, marking a 20% increase in size and accommodating up to 120 dogs, reports Ajuntament de Barcelona. There will be reserved hours for guide dogs on three selected summer days, and the Barcelona Pet Shelter dogs will have access to the beach on Wednesdays.
Operating from 10:30 am to 7:30 pm, the dog beach is equipped with specially designed facilities that include water stations and an area for monitoring animals with identification chips. Visitors can check occupancy levels on the beaches' website.
