Date: July 8
Location: Palau Olimpic de Badalona
The upcoming Saturday, July 8, 2023, is a date marked in red on the calendar of all rock fans. The Sant Jordi Club in Barcelona will host Barcelona Rocks, a massive event for lovers of hard sounds. Barcelona Rock Fest is one of Europe's biggest rock festivals.
Barcelona Rocks will be headlined by the Scorpions, who are returning to Barcelona for the first time in five years to present their new work, "Rock Believer," in addition to performing a repertoire loaded with timeless anthems that, after selling tens of millions of records worldwide and touring the planet for over fifty years, have become indispensable pieces for understanding the genre.
They will be accompanied by a true institution of classic heavy metal: Saxon. The Brits are returning to Barcelona, where they are particularly beloved by the audience, to perform a concert that will mark the group's first visit to the city since 2019 when they delivered a burning performance at the Barcelona Rock Fest. Anthems like "747 (Strangers in the Night)," "Wheels of Steel," or "Princess of the Night" executed in the vastness of the venue will take us back to the best moments of the heavy metal explosion of the 80s.
The best thrash metal will come from the unstoppable Angelus Apatrida. After selling out tickets in the four Spanish cities of their winter tour, the group will ravage the Sant Jordi Club in Barcelona with a good dose of energy.
To complete the party, Eclipse will turn the pavilion into an absolute celebration to welcome the arrival of the summer.
