Carrer Argenteria, 51, in Born neighborhood, Barcelona

Carmina is an authentic gastronomic gem located in the heart of the Ribera district, in the Born. This restaurant occupies the space where the emblematic Senyor Parellada used to be, and its current owners have maintained the spirit of its predecessor. It offers a varied selection of traditional Italian and Catalan fonda-style food, with emblematic dishes from the previous restaurant, such as fricandó with fried potatoes, blind seafood paella and cannelloni de la tieta.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is romantic and cozy, decorated with great taste and professionalism, highlighting the beautiful glazed inner courtyard, restored with original paintings from the 19th century colonial period. The dim lighting and the floral and aesthetic details make Carmina the perfect place to enjoy a dinner as a couple or with friends.

Under the gastronomic direction of Josep Maria Masó, Carmina offers a proposal of fonda cuisine aimed at satisfying young-spirited palates, while maintaining the tradition of the most emblematic Catalan dishes. All this within a space redesigned by Quintana Partners, which revolves around the beautiful glassed-in central courtyard, with many plants, and the original paintings of the building, which have been restored.

The average price per person is 40–70 euros.
