Illegal immigrants to get temporary residence permit

Expat news
Undocumented immigrants will be able to apply for a temporary residence permit in Spain if they enroll in vocational training courses – Formación Profesional (FP). A government decree will allow FP students to legally stay in the country for a year, and then stay here if they get an employment contract. In order to benefit from the recent changes announced by the government of Spain, migrants will be required to: have stayed in the country for 2 years, have certain professional skills, have no criminal record nor a ban on entry into the country, and have some decent minimum knowledge of Spanish.
